The Parks and Recreation Department plans and directs year round recreational programs and operations. The Director of Parks and Recreation supervise an extensive seasonal staff in coordinating the many activities planned and related to recreation fields, courts, buildings, pool, marina and related facilities.

Neff Park Marina Closes October 31st, 2013
Annual Village Tree Lighting; Friday November 22nd at 6:00pm
The Annual Village Tree Lighting is Friday, Nov. 22, beginning at 5:30 p.m. Supported by the Friends of the Grosse Pointe Parade, entertainment includes live reindeer and a performance by Grosse Pointe South Choir. Refreshments provided by the Grosse Pointe Boat Club, complimentary coney dogs by Harvard Grill, and smores by the City of Grosse Pointe. Tree decorating sponsored by City of Grosse Pointe Foundation. Tree is lit at 6 p.m. The U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots program kicks off with toy collection for new and unwrapped toys. Children are encouraged to bring letters to Santa Claus to be shared with him at the Parade.

Neff Park Ice Rink and Warming Room
Open December 2013 - March 2014 Daily between 12:00/Noon and 7:00pm
Saturday Afternoon Warming Fires catered with s'mores and hot choclate will take place at 2:00pm every Saturday the Neff Park Ice Rink is open.
Used Ice Skate Donations will continue this winter making used skates availble for residents to share and use. All sizes and types in good condition will be accepted. please bring your skates to the Park Office.
Neff Park 10th Annual Winter Fest; Saturday January 18th at 1:00pm
Our Winter Fest is in its 10th year and is a wonderful opportunity to take pleasure in the winter weather. You will have the opportunity to experience various activities including curling, ice carving, ice skating, broomball and warming fires. The City will also have a Pig Roast and Catered Meal available for your enjoyment for $5 per person. All activities begin at 1:00pm.

Grosse Pointe Park Okulski Theater:
This winter City Residents are welcome to use Grosse Pointe Park's movie theater between November 15th and April 15th. City Residents must show a valid park pass to be admitted. No guests. Tickets may be purchased on the day of, up to one hour prior to the show. For movie information or additional questions, call 313-822-4313 or visit www.grossepointepark.org.
