:
Position Overview:  This is a full-time position with the primary duty of maintaining and repairing the City’s refuse and dump trucks, heavy and small equipment, fleet vehicles, and other equipment.  Applicant would have multi-faceted, hands-on skills to handle a variety of assigned tasks in the municipal public works arena.  Employee may have to respond to emergencies after hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays in addition to varying seasonal requirements. A valid State of Michigan CDL Class B with air brake endorsement, satisfactory driving record, and the ability to maintain throughout employment is required.  Candidates with a mechanic license are preferred.

Main Street Grosse Pointe DDA Executive Director:

The City of Grosse Pointe’s downtown district, The Village, was recently selected as a Michigan Main Street community and is seeking an Executive Director to support that effort. The Board of Directors of Main Street Grosse Pointe, a Downtown Development Authority (DDA), is seeking an experienced professional who will work with stakeholders to develop and implement a transformation strategy to enhance an attractive, walkable traditional downtown.  The Village, Downtown Grosse Pointe, is comprised of a three-block area in the heart of the Grosse Pointes with a mix of local and national retailers, restaurants, services and offices.

Position Overview: The Executive Director will create and manage operations of the Main Street Grosse Pointe organization and programs and projects that meet objectives as determined by the Grosse Pointe Main Street Board. The Main Street Executive Director will be a positive and energetic source for the long-term success of The Village and will support the Main Street Program by serving as a listener, communicator, collaborator, clearinghouse, facilitator and coordinator based on the four points (organization, promotion, design and economic vitality) of the Main Street Program. The Executive Director will be responsible for promoting public awareness and development of the program and will act as liaison to other government and community organizations.

Position Details: This is a full-time position. Hours worked will vary with program needs and will include some nights and weekends. Direct supervision of the Executive Director will be the responsibility of the Board Chair with input from the full Board of Directors.

Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience, with a competitive benefits package through the City of Grosse Pointe.
