Parking
The City of Grosse Pointe operates a municipal parking system consisting of several off-street parking areas in all three business districts, as well as on-street metered parking areas. These parking areas are intended to provide convenient customer parking for these shopping areas on Mack, Fisher Road and the Village, and provide adequate employee parking where possible (Village Parking Map and Mack Avenue Map). These public parking areas are regulated and enforced to ensure these goals are met. Revenues collected from public parking areas are placed in the City Parking Fund and dedicated to be used to maintain, improve and upgrade the parking system.
CURRENT PARKING SYSTEM STATUS
All on-street parking meters, off-street public parking lots, and The Village parking structure are operating as normal and being enforced.

NEW PAY STATIONS REPLACE VILLAGE PARKING LOT GATES
Beginning the week of January 18, 2021, the parking gates to Village parking lots 2 and 3 will be removed and replaced with a new parking system just like Lot 6 located behind City Kitchen.
To pay for parking, just follow these four simple steps at the pay station before you visit Village businesses:
- Enter license plate number
- Choose purchase or add time (with cash or credit)
- Choose amount of time you would like to purchase
- Enter phone number to get a parking expiry reminder and to extend parking time
The new pay stations have the same rates and hours as the gates. You can stay all day if you wish. And, you will never get stuck behind parking gates in those lots again! However, keep in mind that failure to pay for your parking session could result in a parking ticket. Click Here for additional information and to view maps locating parking lot pay stations.
