The City of Grosse Pointe is located on Lake St Clair, in Wayne County in Southeastern Michigan.
City government is divided into executive and legislative branches. The City Manager is the Chief Executive operating under the direction of the Mayor and City Council, the legislative body.
Government priorities and activities are established in a budget resolution adopted in May of each year. Through the passage of ordinances and resolutions, the City takes official action.
