2022 Public Safety Officer of the Year
At the February 27 City Council Meeting the City's Public Safety Director John Alcorn, right, awarded Detective Mike Narduzzi the Officer of the Year Award.
During his first year with the department, Detective Narduzzi received one Chief's Letter, one unit citation, two commendations, and led the department in arrests. He received a unit citation as part of a group of officers during a residential structure fire where their efforts saved the structure. Detective Narduzzi received one commendation for his work in identifying and arresting an assailant from an incident that took place in The Village. He received the second commendation for his work on a fraud investigation in which he not only solved the crime but identified multiple victims from other communities who he was also able to help. In addition to his investigative work, Detective Narduzzi has taken on a position with the Crisis Intervention Team and continues to assist with training officers in other positions.
